UNIQUE INITIATIVE FOR ESTABLISHING DRUG TESTING AND RESEARCH LABORATORY

In Sunder Industrial Estate 160 parties have purchased plots for pharmaceutical manufacturing units. Keeping in view of this high number of Pharma units, PIEDMC has allocated a separate zone for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Now PIE has started working on a unique initiative for establishing a drug lab named “Pakistan Drug Testing and Research Center” (PDTRC). For this purpose we have a 50 Million Rupees Budget and Board of Governors has also agreed to provide a further matching grant donated by Pharma Units. The lay out architectural Plan has been finalized by the Engineering Department of PIE and has been approved. In a meeting on 9th April in Islamabad DG Health assured all cooperation of Federal Ministry of Health to PDTRC.
